Are you a food lover and have passion for the most innovative Spanish cuisine? If so, next Saturday may be an unforgettable day for you. Why? Because you have the opportunity to attend cava reception, lecture and book-singing with the Catalan star chef, Ferran Adrià, of ‘elBulli’, widely regarded as the world’s best restaurant until its closure in 2011. If you are interested in buying a ticket, hurry up! Last Friday there was only 5 tickets left! What about the price? If you go with a partner, you can get a ticket just for $400!
Tickets are now available to attend this special event at The Vancouver Club. All guests will receive a copy of Adrià’s 7-volume set of books documenting his most creative and prolific years at elBulli restaurant (elBulli 2005-2011: A Journey Inside the Creative Process of the World’s Greatest Chef); refreshments and bubbly will be served to toast the occasion.
A single ticket costs $700. Apart from a copy of elBulli 2005-2011: A Journey Inside the Creative Process of the World’s Greatest Chef, refreshments and bubbly, the purchase to this lecture also includes an in-store credit of $62.50 to be applied to a future purchase (which is 10% of the elBulli book cost). Groups of two may purchase tickets for the couple’s price of $800, which includes 2 tickets to the reception and lecture, but only one copy of the book between them.
Barbara-Jo’s Books to Cooks, the organizer of this special event, will provide you with a signed copy of this books collection of Ferran Adrià, if you are unable to attend this event. But you will need to pre-order it!
A ‘Golden’ collection of books. The new set of books of Ferran Adrià is a singular one. It consists of seven volumes, which are neatly tucked into a slipcase and capture the seven seasons the restaurant was open during this time. They hold over 750 illustrated recipes created by Ferran and his team.
Having held three Michelin stars from 1997 to 2011, and regularly voted ‘Best Restaurant in the World’ by a panel of 500 industry professionals, elBulli was at the forefront of the restaurant scene from when Ferran Adrià became sole head chef in 1987.
