Our client Dona is walking from Leon to Santiago de Compostela.
– She is doing a journey of 298 km walking along the North of Spain –
She had spent her first night in Spain at the Parador de Leon. This historical hotel was the San Marcos Monastery from the times of King Alfonso VI.
She follows our advice about the Pilgrim menu. And she had for dinner “Trucha a la Plancha”, delicious!!
She already walked through Villares de Orbigo, Rabanal del Camino, Ponferrada and Villafranca del Bierzo. Today she is going to achieve O Cebreiro. It is her first stage at the Galician land.
The last few days have been a hard walking time. There is altitude different of 780 metros from Villafranca to O Cebreiro. But she did it. After the O Cebreiro Mountains, the Camino is getting less hilly and mellow. It will be the time to enjoy the first steps in Galicia, the green landscape and the rivers.
The stage finishes at Triacastela. It is another symbolic town along the Camino which is famous for their three castles and the Samos monastery.
Buen Camino!!!
