All Saints day is a big celebration in Spain, the first of November, the botafumeiro is being swung in Santiago’s Cathedral. The Pilgrims will appreciate one of the most important symbols of the Santiago de Compostela Cathedral.
The Botafumeiro is a huge censer of 53 kilos and 1.5 meters high that need the support of eight specialists to move it high up the cathedral, reaches a speed of 68 km / h.
